Members,
Since we last were on strike, we have come a long way from 2008. And I can honestly say in the past 8 months that we have been bargaining directly with the Boeing Company has changed myself, our District, Local 63, and our membership. And that change is for the better. We are closer now. We are more united now. We are stronger now. Through the rain, cold, heat, pain, and early or late hours, we held up solid picket lines and stood determined to get a contract that is worthy of our consideration, and worthy of returning to our labor.
This negotiation has never been about the negotiation committee or your Union Leadership, it has always been about our members. Your committee heard your priorities. Your committee heard your wants and needs. Your committee heard our membership loud and clear. Because that is where the real power and authority comes from, our membership. And now is the next opportunity for your voices to be heard. We have an offer that is worthy of your consideration. Your voice and vote on that offer will be heard on Wednesday, October 23.

I ask that you take a look at all of the information and make an informed decision. The highlights of the improvements from the September 12th offer are pointed out, and these are in addition to all of the other changes and improvements from that September 12th offer. So please be sure to review all of the information, prior to your vote on October 23rd.
Your negotiation and strike committee and local leaders have done an outstanding job throughout these past few months. And our membership has stepped up and supported each other even more so. Let’s commit to keeping this solidarity growing. Let’s commit to staying as strong and united as we are now. Let’s commit to building on what we have accomplished and make our Local and Union better each day than the day before. There is a better future ahead. We will continue to improve Our Future, with every Fight we take on.
